We currently have 17 holes in our barn, but we are planning to add another 8 in the next year or so. Keeping our rabbitry small helps us to maintain a clean, healthy, safe, and well ventilated home for our bunnies. Having limited space prevents us from keeping rabbits that don’t quite fit the standard.
Our rabbit barn doors are cut in half to promote air flow and ventilation. We have found that leaving the top half of the doors open helps significantly reduce smells. It also helps our rabbits get more sunlight. We have two windows on the sides of the barn as well that we open for ventilation and air flow.
